or not at all."

Hello all the food bloggers out there!

I like food. I like cooking food. I like eating food. I like writing about food. Welcome to my food-centric life. I would like to dedicate this blog to thoughts about food.

Let me begin by writing about the fruit that only about 13% of Americans have heard of. This fruit is called the "pomegranate". So here are some basic facts about it.

The pomegranate is native from Iran to the Himalayas in northern India and was cultivated and naturalized over the whole Mediterranean region since ancient times. It is widely cultivated throughout India and the drier parts of southeast Asia, Malaya, the East Indies and tropical Africa. The tree was introduced into California by Spanish settlers in 1769. In this country it is grown for its fruits mainly in the drier parts of California and Arizona. With incredibly high levels of naturally occurring polyphenol antioxidants pomegranate helps guard your body against free radicals. A new study shows that pomegranate juice may help fight hardening of the arteries. Researchers found that pomegranate juice not only appears to prevent hardening of the arteries by reducing blood vessel damage, but the antioxidant-rich juice may also reverse the progression of this disease.

Thank you, dear readers, for reading along. And don’t forget to enjoy the food!
